I recently began reading Eric Metaxes’ book, “7 Men and the Secrets of their Greatness.” In the introduction, he speaks about how George Washington refused to become king as an act of selflessness, one that was ultimately better for the people. I certainly didn’t know that about our first president.
Shortly thereafter, I began to think of the alleged abuses of executive power in our current administration.
Has President Barack Obama abused executive power, acting more like a king than a member of a tertiary government designed to have checks and balances so as to prevent abuse of power?
